In this 8-session Bible study for women, teachers Kristi McLelland, Caroline Saunders, Blair Linne, Jennifer Rothschild, Kelly Minter, and Elizabeth Woodson will walk you through the pages of Scripture. Together, you’ll examine names for the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and you’ll discover the impact each of God’s names has on your relationship with Him. Each name you encounter will inspire you to worship God for who He is and challenge you to consider how your life can be transformed in light of His character.
Video Sessions:
Session One: Introduction | A conversation with the authors (32:13)—Join teachers Kristi McLelland, Caroline Saunders, Blair Linne, Jennifer Rothschild, Kelly Minter, and Elizabeth Woodson for a conversation about the power and intimacy of God's names. Together in front of a live audience, they share how learning about the Lord's names and roles throughout the Bible has deepened their love for Him and their understanding of who He has created them to be.
Session Two: The Name Above All Names | Kristi McLelland (31:53)—In this teaching, Kristi McLelland lays the groundwork for our study on the names of God with an overview of the grand story of Scripture and her trademark historical insight into this ancient Book.
Session Three: In the Beginning Elohim | Caroline Saunders (34:20)—Caroline Saunders walks through the names of God in Genesis, revealing how names like Elohim and Yahweh unveil His greatness, nearness, and faithfulness to His people.
Session Four: His Name Is Father | Blair Linne (37:59)—With a look at the names of God and His work in the book of Exodus, Blair Linne explores what it means that God calls Himself Father. Through Scripture and personal testimony, she invites women to embrace their place in God’s family and live with confidence and hope.
Session Five: The Lord of Hosts Is with You | Jennifer Rothschild (37:59)—Through an exploration of Psalm 46, Jennifer Rothschild explores the name “Lord of Hosts” and reveals how God's presence and peace sustain us through every storm. She encourages women to trust God's strength, delight in His nearness, and exalt Him in every season of life.
Session Six: His Name Is Jesus | Kelly Minter (41:06)—Kelly Minter brings our study of the names of God into the New Testament as she explores Jesus’s title, “Lord.” Kelly reminds us that trusting Jesus as Lord brings hope, healing, and deep transformation.
Session Seven: His Name Is Spirit | Elizabeth Woodson (37:04)—In this teaching on the names and work of the Holy Spirit, Elizabeth Woodson teaches how the very Spirit of God indwells us, gives us life, guides us in truth, and empowers us to live boldly for Christ. She encourages us to embrace the Spirit’s presence and walk in the fullness of God’s power and purpose.
Session Eight: Living the Name | Kristi McLelland (52:03)—In the final session of our study, Kristi McLelland returns with an invitation to move beyond knowing God's names to living them out. She challenges us to carry God's reputation with honor, embody His generosity, and bring hope into a hurting world. We are part of God's story.
